As a private teacher I aim to form in my scholars a deep perception as well as self-confidence at tests and being able to handle new problems. The base of my philosophy is the opinion that learning happens in an environment of reciprocal respect in which the person is encouraged to think and make connections for themselves. My practice has been that one-to-one personal lesson has a unique benefit to learners through the opportunity to resolve the scholars' particular difficulties to study in a way that lays the roots for a lasting and deep discovering of the subject.
Analytic thinking
My approach varies depending on the student's learning style and needs. But, my teaching approach is built upon encouraging students to think for themselves, applying existing situations whenever possible. |I believe that it is necessary to supply scholars with a working skills and to exercise problem-solving skill sets for improving upon this knowledge. Tutoring anyone to think analytically is at the base of the things a learner needs to withdraw off any subject course.
We learn through examples
The most enduring increases a teacher can bring in is coaching students, and it is a process, that I find enjoyable and beneficial. From my experience, I discovered the importance of engaging children with the help of examples and of pitching content at a level which implies intelligence and yet not necessarily knowledge, blending the known with the unknown in a synthesis which provides the person the feeling of probability instead of that of impossibility that official and impressive approaches can enforce.
How I teach
I begin with questions the children are good with and move step-by-step towards more challenging parts while their self-esteem is being grown. I put to use questions and examples to check getting all the time. I never lecture to learners or request them to memorise information. Nor do I do the students' investigation for them!
I usually prioritise exam-style or last paper questions in order to examine, exercise and perfect the scholar's comprehension and technique. I will also give a lot of emphasis to a number of the not so much obvious but crucial skill sets as logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the powerful use of numbers and graphs.
